V I S I O N S
The road that lies ahead now stands before me
Solid and impervious, it bears great weight
Beset by the dense forest and calm winds
Rolling hills under grey skies thrive and subside
A dark and narrow path, awaiting my arrival
Each step is meticulously calculated
For if I falter, fear of failure I feel forever
Every choice made by paramount fidelity
Uncertainty blinds the man who procrastinates
And on this road I will be provoked
Do not be roused by the sound of the sirens
They only fuel destruction and demise
And watch those to whom I meet with discourse
Fools will appear as saints but in seclusion they slither
As snakes lay and wait, trouble will surely come
I left behind all the costumes and the mask
All the faces I would wear to make me feel alive
No more charades or skeletons to hide
More for desistance than for opulence
A treasure chest full of lies I have forsaken
Of all the hours, so beautiful
An army of darkness, like minions from hell,
To take each day before us
Through a sea of lost souls
We’re always walking, forever searching
Deliver me, for this hail is eternal
One last breath to give
Here, in this incipient void
My world is torn apart
Stranded in this deserted wasteland
Look what I've become
Pushing and pulling, fighting for the surface
An endless climb from within the depths
Thrown to the sharks like an anchor into the abyss
This dead weight is holding me down
Forever am I learning, always striving for knowledge, seeking future ambitions to better myself, continually gaining insight from another person with an optimistic point of view, a teacher and a student of everything on Earth and beyond. The past, the present, and the future, all hold a conception of mankind, and our perspective is skew, and we need to consider the facts that we are not alone in this universe of phantom illusions and in conclusion, chosen without notification, we need to step up to the plate to play the game. It seems so safe that we make blind decisions, and in this position who are we to call Heaven and Hell, beliefs without faith and there's no hope of escape. We can sit and wait, or communicate. The decision is yours, what will you make, was it faith or a mistake? Either way, the decision is yours, it's in your hands now, and what would you prefer? ...So much to fathom, the possibilities are endless in this age we call a new day. The same place forever to stay, or leave at will, on your own, it's your call. Will you wilt or expire, or do you desire endless power or even try harder for fears of failure will haunt you forever...what do you desire, what makes you feel alive, what makes you YOU, you will find the only answer is in your mind and can you decide or did you ever try? On the inside you can hide, but clouded eyes show a veil of imitation...You decide, should I live or should I die? Either way it’s a surprise. Your eyes have been awoken and now’s the time that you decide, to believe in lies or open your eyes…Just open your eyes…
Do our words no longer hold their weight? And have our tongues stolen thoughts far removed from our mind? When we speak, the gravity of our words holds great weight, which we carry on our shoulders. Do we act with passion or for purpose? It seems that beyond a head of reason there is no clarity. I dig into this world looking for answers, and each dive I make leaves me with no forgiveness. How grateful I am for the life I have been given, but how grateful are we, as humans, for each day we continue to exist? We go to sleep at night with the expectation that tomorrow we will wake up and live another day, but we cannot always assume we will wake up. We might not even get to sleep; our lives can be interrupted at any time, any moment, any instance, within a fraction of time. But we persevere through the trials and tribulations of our quest. Our journey of life often thrives and subsides, but it can divide, die, multiply, or survive. Amongst the mutiny that prevails, society has eroded into illusions of contempt, weathered by the media and the image of wealth, we strive for success, but success is not a monetary value, it is a feeling we hold inside. And why do we keep what’s inside, is it ours to hide, or do we share it and let it thrive? With the world as a sphere in the palm of your hand, would you crush it or value it? It’s yours to command so the decision lies in your hand, and what will you choose to do with the life you have that came from sand?
