N E W A G E

Conviction kills: How many days have I told myself the same thing, repeating the main actions based on false passions & misguided reactions only to set myself up for future failure. I find that it’s time I step up to the plate if I choose to play the game; often I find myself taking the blame but who am I to entertain this badge of shame, now who’s to blame? Who still remains, what’s left to claim & who shall reign? I will never know until I find myself; what is it that I desire? Why do I waste away the days planning & preparing my gradual decay? I see the light shining before me but somehow the shadows always swarm in to destroy me. If only I were true to my intentions, I would rise above. I will rise, just take a glance to the skies, as daylight dies clouds arise, how many times have storms claimed precious lives? A lie from my elusive eyes I will never show, but I do know how to wear the eyes of ignorance & I will always be a ghost to those oblivious of the betrayal & illusions before them; I’m free to pass go, to collect my two hundred dollars & let the next person choke, so enjoy the show. Roll the dice & see how it goes, my life has become a Monopoly game & the banker controls every move I make. How much pain am I willing to take? How much pain am I willing to inflict? Well, depending upon the outcome maybe I’ll sell myself & my soul, if I have to, just to commit. But what are my odds that I will see profit? I’m as likely to sell ice to an Eskimo or water to a fish as I am to entertain this addiction & unfortunately I’ll do anything but quit. Why stop now, what’s the Risk? I would now like to invite you to join me on this journey, discovering the human soul is but one path among the cosmos. The number one is the simplest, most basic & archaic foundation of which we, as mankind, have established within ourselves. We knew things before we even knew what it is to be conscious. There are equal parts of us that change states, but as a whole, the human genome is the perfect self-replicating virus, and we are all supporting the cause. I say we are a virus because for so long we have leeched out, acting upon our transgressions, a plague with no end. And how selfishly we bring a new life into this world & how easily we are to discard fallen brethren. At a time when the greatest most profound megalithic structures of architectural antiquity hold grandeur over modern monuments, we now look into our past & relish what we once were before we stripped ourselves of pride, dignity, nobility & respect. In retrospect some would say we evolved; but I digress, we have only begun to shed away the lifeless cells of our blackened flesh we call skin, and in the process of change we found new land. We anchored ourselves ashore only to learn that betrayal is a necessity in furthering the agenda; a cause for which the disease of deceit has now progressed & infiltrated the mainstream media, continuously emitting the alluring illusions resulting in our current state. This, this is the age of decay…

Calm Shores

A survivor among the wreckage, mistaken for the leverage required; of binding desires, it requires eager minds that inspire, to rekindle broken paths & remain loyal to the eternal fire. I was left standing in the wake of a world caught between destiny & decay; I was living in the wastelands of my own dismay. Among the ruins I would stray, forever exiled to the underworld, torn I am as I currently stay. A broken heart born without a beat to keep the tempo alive, a heart worthy & beating, fighting struggles & entanglements to keep this presence divide. I survive. Divided by ignorant eyes, like wood burns, it breaks, crumples, and cries, but not without leaving splinters for surprise, only in the ashes does mankind reside. Upon the sands, the salt, the sea of seeds, there’s blood in the water of every evil intention, every thought & word both unspoken and awoken. We are a legacy of disgust, and while we hold our ground, we stand firm upon this Earth. We will be remembered not by our names but by our marks. A mission entrusted & taken to the grave, our word is our legend upon this world we’ve been left in. In darkness & shadows we find strength to carry on, no longer carrion; our flesh is met with a masquerade of massacres. And while those without motive must refrain, the choice is yours, to play the part and rescue the role, or feign fame & be forsaken forever. The choice is yours, put on the mask, what would you rather enjoy: the myriad moments of bliss or remember the moments we miss?

2 0 / 2 0

6 years have passed and here I am, my feet sunk deep in footsteps I first left in this sand. After gaining so much and losing everything, I now stand alone with nothing in my fucking open hands. Nothing to show for all the time I've wasted treading open waters in search of lost land. When still my actions have stripped my flesh, they now claim the hands of those who I have left. Friends and foes who I’ve left to sink, buried deep within quicksand and dreams of release. I would rather sink with anchors in hand than claim to call myself a worthy man. Once an honest man, my hollow chest but fulfills a dead man’s commands. Lost at sea in search of land, blinded eyes and weathered ties, I’m yet a man, just skull and bones among the tides; rise and fall, rise and fall, glorify your eyes & lies and you will see what clarity provides.

D R I F T E R

"To look out the window and view such departed commotion, I live in a world astray. A world we can save; a world that waits. Take me to the station and the hours shall clash, shattered fragments of glass, worthy to those who only have come from the past. Lungs full of glass or volcanic ash, the flesh of man buried and cast. Removed and dragged to the gallows we swag, swaying for seconds, for faith in the flag, among the shards are sharks intact, so swim with conviction or let decisions mark paths. A scar to remind us of lust and love, trust and shove, we must rise above. We must rise above the moment we've been waiting for, the future is ours and we are the stars, why do we wait for the fate to become ours, we wait for the fate that has become awoken, no longer unspoken, now is the time we show them. We are forever creatures of the sea, hollow bones and crocodile thrones; a pirate’s life is all we've known. Left to the feathers we are carrion, we all carry on, we stand as one but when we fall, we are the plague that consumes all, we are living in the aftermath of a massive attack. A war greater than anything we've ever burned, left in the ashes of our past. We are those who remain, skull and bones, decaying flesh, a lifeless vessel without a soul, without an anchor to take hold, we all give in to the undertow, but this world we will never let go."
