D R I F T E R
"To look out the window and view such departed commotion, I live in a world astray. A world we can save; a world that waits. Take me to the station and the hours shall clash, shattered fragments of glass, worthy to those who only have come from the past. Lungs full of glass or volcanic ash, the flesh of man buried and cast. Removed and dragged to the gallows we swag, swaying for seconds, for faith in the flag, among the shards are sharks intact, so swim with conviction or let decisions mark paths. A scar to remind us of lust and love, trust and shove, we must rise above. We must rise above the moment we've been waiting for, the future is ours and we are the stars, why do we wait for the fate to become ours, we wait for the fate that has become awoken, no longer unspoken, now is the time we show them. We are forever creatures of the sea, hollow bones and crocodile thrones; a pirate’s life is all we've known. Left to the feathers we are carrion, we all carry on, we stand as one but when we fall, we are the plague that consumes all, we are living in the aftermath of a massive attack. A war greater than anything we've ever burned, left in the ashes of our past. We are those who remain, skull and bones, decaying flesh, a lifeless vessel without a soul, without an anchor to take hold, we all give in to the undertow, but this world we will never let go."
